Back?

Hey!
It has been quite a while since I've been here hasn't it?
I have been watching dramas and movies, but I have neglected to post up any reviews about them.
Since I am currently on my summer break and am unable to find an internship or a job yet, I caught up on my TV shows and have finally started to watch dramas again.
I've gotten my friend addicted, and we went back and forth texting each other what we thought of the drama "The Moon Embracing the Sun" that we thought we would start a review blog. That seems like too much a commitment since both of us would probably not keep up with it. After all, we're still students. We hope you all will enjoy reading our reviews as much as we will probably have writing them! :)

Until next time,
Sw33tPandaZ

Toy Story 3

What about this movie that caught my attention:
Watched the first and second one when I was younger. Loved them both. I'm heading into college this "Fall". I've grown up with toys...
Why I actually finished watching this movie: I was watching it in the theaters... plus it was really good o.0;
My favorite coupling: Buzz & Jessie I suppose
Other?: Love the accent of Mr. Pricklepants and loved the Spanish Buzz xP
Grown up Andy was cute ^-^;;
Quotes:
Andy: [opens box, and takes out Jessie] This is Jessie, the roughest, toughest cowgirl in the whole west. She loves critters, but none more than her best pal, Bullseye!
[pulls out Bullseye, and makes a whinnying sound]
Andy: Yee-haw!
[holds the two tows out to Bonnie]
Andy: Here.
Bonnie: [shyly walks over, and takes Jessie and Bullseyes, a smile on her face]
Andy: [pulls out Rex] This is Rex! The meanest, most terrifying dinosaur who ever lived! RAWR! RAWR!
Bonnie: [recoils a little, but the giggles, and takes Rex too]
Andy: [pulls out Mr and Mrs Potato Head] The Potato Heads: Mr and Mrs. You gotta keep them together because they're madly in love.
[Andy sets them down in front of Bonnie, before pulling out Slinky Dog]
Andy: Now Slinky here, is as loyal as any dog you could want.
[Andy then pulls out Hamm]
Andy: And Hamm, he'll keep your money safe, but he's also one of the most dastardly villains of all time: Evil Dr Porkchop!
[Andy then places the two with their friends, before pulling out the three aliens]
Andy: These little dudes are from a strange alien world: Pizza Planet!
[Andy then sets them down before reaching into his box again]
Andy: And this, is Buzz Lightyear, the coolest toy ever! Look! He can fly, oh, and shoot lasers!
[Andy pops open Buzz's wings, and fires his laser]
Andy: He's sworn to protect the galaxy from the Evil Emperor Zurg!
Bonnie: [Bonnie takes Buzz from Andy, and presses one of the buttons on his spacesuit]
Buzz Lightyear: To Infinity, and Beyond!
Andy: Now, you gotta promise to take good care of these guys. They, mean, alot to me.

Andy: Now Woody, he's been my pal for as long as I can remember. He's brave, like a cowboy should be. And kind, and smart. But the thing that makes Woody special, is he'll never give up on you... ever. He'll be there for you, no matter what.

Andy: [taking a last look at his toys before he heads off to College] Thanks, guys.
---------------------------------------------
Molly: [Andy is climbing up the ladder to the attic to put his toys away when Molly walks out of her room carrying a box] Uh!
[a small heavy ball falls out of the box]
Andy: You need a hand?
Molly: I got it!
Andy: Here.
[he puts the ball back and picks up the box]
Andy: So, you gonna miss me when I'm gone?
Molly: If I say no, do I still get your room?
Andy: [they walk down the stairs] Nope.
Molly: Then, yes, I'll miss you.
-------------------------------------

My rating out of 10: 9.5
Short and sweet note from Sw33tPandaZ:
Alright... I didn't expect it to hit THAT close to home. I mean the whole going off to college stuff...
the ending was ABSOLUTELY AMAZING o.0; I couldn't stop crying. What I've learned from this film:
1) I didn't play with my toys enough when I was younger.
2) I should NOT donate my toys to day care centers (I should donate it to kids I know wouldn't destroy them)
3) I'm going to miss my family dearly when I head off to college... D:

Alice in Wonderland

What about this movie that caught my attention: Trailer seemed amazing & it's in 3-D! What more can you ask for?!
Why I actually finished watching this movie: I don't feel like I should even answer this question.
My favorite coupling: n/a
Other?: Mad Hatter is amazing! Bwhaha
Quotes: n/a
My rating out of 10: 8
Short and sweet note from Sw33tPandaZ:
So different from the cartoon Alice in Wonderland.

The Spellmans Strike Again

>>>>Read my reviews on the 3 previous books HERE<<<<
What about this novel that caught my attention: I've wanted to read this novel ever since it came out (On March 16th, 2010)! So glad I was able to get a hold of a copy on Amazon. I wasn't able to find it at my local Borders :(
Why I actually finished reading this novel: I can't stop reading a Spellmans novel. I mean seriously. It's just that good. It felt like the time when I was obsessed with Harry Potter. I just CAN'T STOP READING!
My favorite coupling: Henry & Izzy (hands down), but David & Maggie, Fred & Rae were pretty cute as well... xP
Other: I have new found respect and love for Henry in this novel. He started to change (for the better of course). He learned the way of the Spellmans.
Quotes
:
I'll add some later... it's a long list, so I am trying to narrow it down.
My rating out of 10:
9
Short and sweet note from Sw33tPandaZ: I can't believe it's over. OVER! :'( I am going to miss this series oh so much. I think it will take me some time to find another book that I'll like "/ the characters grew on me way too much.

Ghost Whisperer- Implosion

Episode Review

This was the 100th episode in the series. What did I have to say about it? The short little story that was mentioned in the beginning of the episode where if you die you don't really die, you live on in the memory of everyone you've ever met was pretty cute/ cliche, but cute. The story about the ghost's father dying in Afghanistan because he stepped on the mine, but he saved his whole platoon was good as well. Pretty good episode.

I do (but I don't)

What about this movie that caught my attention: I've read the book
Why I actually finished watching this movie: It wanted to see how different it was from the novel.
My favorite coupling: Nick Corona & Lauren Crandell
Other?: n/a
Quotes: n/a
My rating out of 10: 8
Short and sweet note from Sw33tPandaZ:
I gotta say, like most movies made from books... this movie is different from the book. Hmm what can I say? I think that Jay looks better than Nick in the movie. Haha ^-^;

Autumn's Concerto (Next stop, happiness)

What about this drama that caught my attention: I really liked the title of the drama, but I decided not to watch it... until 1/1/10 because the day before this date my neighbor recommended it to me & I was like eh why not?
Why I actually finished watching this drama: It's actually really good. I couldn't stop watching this drama because I wanted to know what would happen next. The characters were well thought out and had depth. The little child is a very good actor.
My favorite coupling:
Other?:
I still think that Jacko (Figaro Ceng) is adorable.
Episode 5- was when Guang Xi saved Mu Cheng after her foot got caught in the fishing net & when Mu Cheng confessed that she loved him & he told her that he was being a jerk and rejected her was because of his tumor
Episode 6- Date before surgery (swing kiss & photography story)
Episode 7- First showing of the Xiao Le! D'aww
Episode 10- Santa Clause story, family time, totally adorable
Quotes:
Ren Guang Xi: Once upon a time, there was a princess who was kidnapped by the devil. The devil said to her, "You can continue screaming (till you" 'lose your voice', 'nobody' is coming to save you."
And the princess started screaming, 'lose your voice! lose your voice!'
Do you know who came?
Liang Mu Cheng: Who?
Ren Guang Xi: 'Nobody' came. There was a man called 'Nobody'. Because the princess shouted, 'lose your voice,' so just like what the devil said, 'Nobody' came. He came to save the princess.
Liang Mu Cheng: That's so lame.
Ren Guang Xi: I'm not just trying to make you laugh. What I want to say is, if you come across any danger in the future, you don't need to scream until you lose your voice. You just need to call out the name, Ren Guang Xi, and I will come to save you.
-----------
Xiao Le to Mu Cheng (episode 15 pt6):
You adults are the strangest animal in this whole wide world *pat Mu Cheng on the head*
--------
Mu Cheng: 6 years ago...I truly love you. This is what I had hidden from you for 6 years...an unspoken promise. If I told you, I love you, can you, for this reason, stay?
Guang Xi: I will leave...if you ever let go of my hand again.

My rating out of 10:
Short and sweet note from Sw33tPandaZ:
This drama reminds me of Prince Who Turns into a Frog (buying village, forgetting love), My Lucky Star (little kid, and 5/6 years later thing) & Fated to Love you (changing over time) all mixed into one drama. This drama has made me cry too much, but the tears were worth it. There were so many conflicts that arises in this drama, it didn't seem like all of it could be solved in the end. Xiao Le is adorable. He says he wisest thing ever and he has so many tricks up his sleeves.
Fantastic ending to an utterly amazing drama.

Review on it from another: here

The Princess And The Frog

What about this movie that caught my attention: Ooh a twist in an original fairy tale? Hmm...
Why I actually finished watching this movie: It was actually really good :D
My favorite coupling: Prince Naveen & Tiana
Other?: n/a
Quotes: n/a
My rating out of 10: 8.5
Short and sweet note from Sw33tPandaZ:
I really did enjoy this new Disney animation. It reminds me of the old Disney (you know the cheesy one with a happy ending & life lesson) It was really nice. The theme of doing what you can to achieve your dreams and not giving up on love is fantastic. Having wits is also a plus :D

Bones - The Foot in the Foreclosure

Episode Review

The mystery in this episode was alright, didn't like it as much as the connection between Booth and his grandpa (Pops). It was super sweet :D Their relationship nearly brought me to tears.

Bones - A Night at the Bones Museum

Episode Review

My first Bones episode, it's terrific :D It's becoming an addiction.
Anyway this episode is about a mummy and Brennan changing history with the new discovery of the mummy's brother and clear him from the misunderstand of him killing his brother.

Ghost Whisperer - Head Over Heels

Pre-review note: I'm deciding to add episode reviews here as well so I can remember which episodes I don't like.

Episode Review

The Headless Horseman from the Legend of Sleepy Hollow is referred to in this episode of Ghost Whisperer. Comparing this episode from the last two episode: it was so much better! This one made me cry. The love story was sweet. The actor who played the "headless" horseman was attractive. I quoted the word headless because you will be able to see his head nearing the middle and end of the episode :D Other than that, I hope that the producers will have more touching episodes like this from now on! The last two weren't as heart tugging as this one :D

Project Runway

What about this show that caught my attention: I thought it was pretty cool, and the tasks and designs always struck me.
Why I actually stuck to watching this show: The drama, the designs, the competition, Tim Gunn. I love it all!
My favorite coupling: N/A
My favorite designers/ models:
Season 2:
Chloe Dao
Nick Verreos and his first model Tarah Rodgers

Korto Momolu
Season 6
:
Christopher Straub (I'm liking his style)
Shirin Askari
Ra'mon-Lawrence Coleman
My rating out of 10: 9.5
Short and sweet note from Sw33tPandaZ: I've only watched season 2, 3, 5 and 6. I watched only bits and pieces from season 4.
10/31/09: Just thought I'd update. I stopped watching season 6 due to the lack of Nina and Michael and the lack of creativity in the challenges.

LG Xenon

What about this product that caught my attention: The color/ design on the back & the slide out qwerty keyboard.
Why I actually like this product: Fast and easy texting.
Other: It's a bit annoying when it freezes... it happened to me twice since I got this phone back in May.
My rating out of 10:
7.5
Short and sweet note from Sw33tPandaZ:
Talking on the phone, the quality is alright, the speaker phone is okay quality as well. It is more of a messaging phone. There are 3 colors you can choose (black, blue or red).
The music player is pretty good. I really don't like the volume of the ringtone, in my opinion it's a bit too quite. Sometimes I miss calls because my phone isn't close to me. The con about my phone is that sometimes it just freezes and you have to remove the battery and put it back together to get it to work again "/ I guess I really can't complain much about this phone, I mean I was the one who asked for a touch screen phone in the first place...

2.BW/U

What about this brand that caught my attention: The jean fabric is so soft!
Why I actually like this brand: It's very comfortable to wear. Very breathable jean fabric.
Other: n/a
My rating out of 10:
9
Short and sweet note from Sw33tPandaZ:
Right now I currently own 3 pairs of these jeans. They are so soft and comfortable you would have to wear them for yourselves to get what I'm talking about. I bought mines at Ross for $12.99 a pair. It's worth it :D

The Spellman Files/ Curse of the Spellmans/ Revenge of the Spellmans

What about this novel that caught my attention: I thought it was cheap (since it was at the book sale at the library) and the cover seemed interesting enough
Why I actually finished reading this novel: I couldn't put down the book! It was so much fun to read. I actually laughed out loud several times.
My favorite coupling: n/a
My rating out of 10: 9.5
Short and sweet note from Sw33tPandaZ: I absolutely love the footnotes!

What about this novel that caught my attention: I loved the first book so much I wanted to continue!
Why I actually finished reading this novel: It's super witty and silly :D
My favorite coupling: n/a
My rating out of 10: 9.5
Short and sweet note from Sw33tPandaZ: Footnotes were fun & the appendix was good for clarifying stuff.

What about this novel that caught my attention: I've wanted to read this novel ever since it came out (On March 16th, 2009)! I finally got a hold of it at the library.
Why I actually finished reading this novel: It's so funny and I wanted to see if my hunches were right >.^
My favorite coupling: I can't really say. I love Izzy with all the guys she's been with! xP
Other: David Spellman is amazing. He's "tall, dark and handsome" what more can you want? Plus pg 327 he was actually kind to Izzy! :D pg. 299 his confession about Maggie to Izzy. Pg. 340 the blackmail found, sad ending to chapter though Pg. 360 super entertaining :D
Quotes
:
"'I'm all ears,' Earnie said. 'Yes, That's true. You do have big ears,' I said (yup, out loud)." pg. 195
"'I'm thinking about moving to Arizona.' 'Why?' 'I'm in love.' 'With a cactus?' 'No, Isabel, a woman.'" pg. 236 conversation of Milo & Izzy
"I had a sudden urge to pick up the crackers and hurl them at Henry, one by one, with a g-force never before experienced by a cracker. Then I had a separate urge to toss them on the floor and crunch them into the carpet with my shoe. Then, you'll be happy to hear, I had a sudden urge to hang on to whatever dignity I had left." pg. 254
My rating out of 10:
9.5
Short and sweet note from Sw33tPandaZ: This book contains so much awesomeness that I can't control myself! I can't believe I have to wait 7 months until The Spellmans Strike Again comes out! @-@; How can I wait that long!? Near the ending of this book made me sad. I can't believe Morty and Milo left :( This book was utterly amazing. Loved the longer appendix.
Completed on 8/16/09

27 Dresses

What about this movie that caught my attention: The cover I suppose.
Why I actually finished watching this movie: I wanted to see the sappy ending.
My favorite coupling: Kevin Doyle & Jane Nichols
Other?: n/a
Quotes: "What color is it? Vomit?"
"No. I don't. I'm Jesus"
My rating out of 10: 7
Short and sweet note from Sw33tPandaZ:
It was a bit
cliché at times... I mean this wasn't a complete blower of a movie, however it just didn't hit me much. I mean it's cute, sure. But the thing I didn't like was the acting. I guess it's because I got annoyed at the younger sister, then the boss was being stupid and the cliché topic of sisters being jealous of each other as well as the other cliché topic of changing yourself to match your lover more (is the latter a cliché topic? I'm not so sure) still. It annoyed me, so I didn't enjoy it much. Maybe it will be different for you?

The Proposal

What about this movie that caught my attention: It was part of the Romance/ Comedy section :D
Why I actually finished watching this movie: Ryan Reynolds was attractive... and because I liked the plot.
My favorite coupling: Andrew Paxton & Margaret Tate
Other?:
White dog was adorable!!
The amazingly terrific grandma!!
Quotes: "Congratulations, I'm 100 years old."
"So you'll do it? *no response* Before I'm dead?! *thumbs up*"
"Yeah! Show her who's boss Andrew!"
My rating out of 10: 9
Short and sweet note from Sw33tPandaZ:
This was a very comedic romance movie. A super uptight boss (Margaret Tate) and a pushover/ trying-hard to please employer (Andrew Paxton) joined together by a threat. A proposal is then thrust upon the innocent employer. Lying to the family which treated Margaret like she was their actual in-law and then falling in love with Andrew was too much to handle. The deal was called off and a new love arose. The grandmother was brilliant, very comical.

Il Mare

What about this movie that caught my attention: It was what 'The Lake House' was based from.
Why I actually finished watching this movie: The plot is a bit different, more sad.
My favorite coupling: Sung-hyun & Eun-joo
Other?: The mailbox looked pretty
My rating out of 10: 8.5
Short and sweet note from Sw33tPandaZ:
So this was what 'The Lake House' was based off of, and I must say. This movie was really good for a Korean movie. I remember watching 'Unstoppable Marriage' and thought... "Man, this could have extended a bit more" and 'He was cool' and thought "They should have added more explanations" this movie was straight through understandable. It was a bit sadder than the American version of the Lake House, that's for sure. However, the ending made you hopeful for a better future for them.

The Lake House

What about this movie that caught my attention: I wanted to watch it, but then I kept thinking it wouldn't meet my expectation, so I didn't watch it.
Why I actually finished watching this movie: It was such a sweet love story! Clean and pure love.
My favorite coupling: Alex Wyler & Kate Forster
Other?: The lake house was so pretty!
The quote "There could have been no two hearts so open, no tastes so similar, no feelings so in unison...." from the novel Persuasion by Jane Austen interpreted in the movie was just brilliant!
My rating out of 10: 9.5
Short and sweet note from Sw33tPandaZ:
I finally decided to watch this movie after watching the trailer for 'Time traveler's wife' (I will watch that soon so I can do a review on it). Why did I think this movie when watching the trailer for another movie? Well. The time difference thing. I wouldn't mind having a pen pal from two years ago right now xP This movie prompted me to watch Il Mare (the movie it was based off of).
The love story of two people in a different time (2 year time difference) conversing over written letters, to me seemed pretty romantic. I mean sure, the other person could be a complete pervert... but this is a love story. Waiting two years for someone with an unchanging heart, knowing that you have to wait because they won't recognize you from your time. It's pretty heart- breaking. I love the ending to this movie, and I think this movie is now my all time favorite.

Valentine's Day

Alright. I have never reviewed something I haven't watched yet... but I am anticipating this movie SO MUCH! According to Glamour Vanity the filming for this movie will being on the 17th of this month. This will be a romantic comedy with Taylor Lautner*drools*, Taylor Swift and many more such as ", , , , , , , " according to Glamour. It is said to be in theaters on the 10th of February. I can't wait!!!
